There are instances where people may have an accident and lose a front tooth, and want that tooth replaced. In most cases, you cannot do anything unless you place an implant. When trauma first occurs, you do not drill on the adjacent teeth because they may also be traumatized. In this case, today, we can extract the traumatized tooth that has been broken in half and place an implant with bone grafting. The patient can also receive a temporary restoration and look like they never had an accident. So yes, we can perform extraction and implant placement on the same day.
