What Is a Roundhouse Bridge?
In this video, Dr. Gloria Stingley explains how a roundhouse bridge replaces multiple teeth using implant support.
There are different types of implant-supported dentures. In some cases, dentures are placed on approximately eight implants and restore a full arch of teeth, often replacing fourteen teeth rather than one implant per tooth. This type of restoration is commonly referred to as a roundhouse. In a roundhouse design, not every tooth position has its own implant, and the prosthesis is supported by strategically placed implants. Most of the time, a roundhouse is fixed and does not come out of the mouth. We can provide fixed roundhouse restorations for both the upper and lower arches.
Because fixed roundhouse prostheses can be more difficult to keep clean, we strongly recommend using a Waterpik and other oral hygiene aids. Proper maintenance is essential to keep the implants healthy and ensure long-term success.
