In this video, Dr. Gloria Stingley explains how dental emergencies are handled and when immediate care may be available.
What is the purpose of a dental office if it cannot treat a true emergency? In our office, we have scheduled patients, and our patients understand when we have a true emergency. We are human, and we care about people, so yes, we will take care of emergency cases. However, there are some situations that people consider emergencies when they truly are not. We will still see those patients if our schedule allows, but they may have to wait a while before being seen. Yes, we do accept emergencies and walk-ins.

Maybe you thought traditional dentures would feel true to your old teeth. But now that you’re actually wearing them, you may notice they shift and slip when you smile, talk, and eat. You’re not limited to this experience. In fact, many denture options hold false teeth in place, using dental implants as pillars of support. Implant dentures restore the [...]
Having missing teeth is an isolating experience for many. In fact, with early detection and prompt intervention, survival rates for oral cancer are 80-90%. This is the hinge that connects your lower jaw to your skull and allows you to speak, chew, and move your mouth comfortably. When the TMJ is overworked, pain, tension, and stiffness take over your [...]
When you get a papercut, your body initiates a healing process right away. First, it stops the bleeding by plugging the small wound with platelets, eventually forming a clot that turns into a scab. Over the next few days, white blood cells migrate to the injury site. These cells clean out bacteria, paving the way for new tissue to [...]
Have you ever thrown a party, and a few guests overstayed their welcome? At first, it’s no big deal. But the longer they linger, the more mess they leave behind and the harder it becomes to restore your home to normal. Gum disease actually works in a similar way. When plaque builds up along your gumline, it brings harmful [...]
Cavities form when the acids in your mouth erode your tooth’s protective enamel, forming a hole in the surface of the tooth. When left untreated, tooth decay progresses deeper, affecting the dentin beneath the enamel and causing pain and sensitivity. An effective way to repair damage and restore the tooth’s structure is with dental fillings. When performed early enough, [...]
