She completed a one-year Advanced General Dentistry program in 1993 to expand her clinical expertise in both routine and complex procedures. During her service in the U.S. Army, Dr. Stingley received the Army Commendation Medal from her direct commander, who recognized her as an exemplary dentist. She also earned congressional laudatory recognition from Colonel Gene Withrow, USA DENTAC commanding officer, for a research project in which she competed against 30 dentists from the Army, Navy, and Air Force, ranking fifth overall. The recognition was presented at Fort Benning, Georgia. In addition, she later provided comprehensive dental care for children through the Gwinnett County Health Department. Dr. Stingley is an active member of the American Dental Association, Georgia Dental Association, Georgia Dental Society, and the Academy of General Dentistry.
